Colours

White

Silver

Symbolic of pure words, and the truth of God; may also indicate a high-quality ministry; redemption; money and trade. “Now if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw” (1 Cor 3:12, ESV).

Purple

Royalty; wealth; prosperity. Purple bruises = bruising; pain. “Then Mordecai left the king’s presence, wearing the royal robe of blue and white, the great crown of gold, and an outer cloak of fine linen and purple. And the people of Susa celebrated the new decree: (Esther 8:15, NLT).

Red

Blood; destruction; fire; anger; may also speak of anointing. “When we come into the land, you must leave this scarlet rope hanging from the window through which you let us down. And all your family members – your father, mother, brothers, and all your relatives – must be here inside the house” (Josh 2:18, NLT).

Symbolic of Christian service, or belonging to Christ.

Gold

Holy Spirit; spiritual gift; Divine revelation; heavenly visitation. Medium or dark blue = God’s Spirit or Word; blessing; healing; good will. Very light blue = actions of the flesh; corrupt. “They were all attractive young men, captains and commanders dressed in handsome blue, charioteers driving their horses” (Ezek 23:6, NLT).

Brown

Flesh; dead; without spirit; repentance; humble. “Let me inspect your flocks today and remove all the sheep and goats that are speckled or spotted, along with all the black sheep. Give these to me as my wages” (Gen 30:32, NLT).
